Overview
The EXOPRO® XPF & S-XPF X Performer Taps represent a new evolution in forming tap technology. These form taps generate up to 50% less torque versus other forming taps, making it feasible to tap materials up to 40 HRC and sizes up to or exceeding 1" in diameter.

Fluteless Forming Tap
Produces no chips, making it up to 17X more durable than cut taps.
40-50% less machining torque
Longer life at faster speeds and the ability to use larger forming taps.
Coolant-fed version also available (S-XPF)
For those with coolant-fed spindles, even more performance can be achieved.

Aluminum Alloy, Cast Aluminum, Carbon Steels, Alloy Steel, Die Steel, Stainless Steel, Hardened Steel < 40 HRC.
Higher performance with XPF is achieved when running at higher SFM.
Forming is possible in Nickel Alloys such as Inconel 718 for thread sizes under 1/4".
