Realize Your Dreams

 

OSG USA, Inc. is proud to offer its 2018-2019 “Shaping Your Dreams” Manufacturing / Engineering Scholarship Program. This program is intended for graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate students who wish to pursue higher education in machining, manufacturing or Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering at an approved traditional College or University, Community College, vocational school or technical school.

 

Scholarship Application:

 

One-time amount of $3,000 per scholarship; 2 available: One (1) for Chicago area and one (1) for Cleveland area

 

Eligible Applicants:

 

Chicago-area or Cleveland-area graduating high school seniors, current undergraduate students who wish to pursue higher education in machining, manufacturing or Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering at an approved traditional College or University, Community College, vocational school or technical school. Candidates can include students who are pursuing an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in a course of study that traditionally has been a preparatory curriculum for a machining, manufacturing technology, or Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering profession.

 

Criteria:

 

Minimum Eligibility Guidelines:

  • Must be a legal U.S. citizen
  • Must be a current high school student or undergraduate college student pursuing an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in a course of study that traditionally has been a preparatory curriculum for a machining, manufacturing technology, or Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering profession.
  • References: At least 1 reference letters from a math, science, or technology-related instructor that speak to the applicant’s qualifications
  • Essay: A statement from the applicants about him/herself, future professional goals and why they feel they are a good candidate for this scholarship

 

 

Preferred Eligibility Guidelines: (A candidate that meets the guidelines below will be given additional points and consideration for the Scholarship):

  • Attend an event at OSG, such as Manufacturing Day on October 3rd , 2018
  • • Give a Written Commitment to work for OSG as an intern during a school break, ie. Winter, Spring or Summer.
  • • GPA of 3.0 (when 4.0 is the maximum) – transcript required
